I have hot water plumper flushed coil (oil repairman never mentioned that) He does not know how long it will last. Got off with few hundred not few thousand.

I did take landlord once to court for a new roof about 20 years ago. I had to higher a lawyer, He had me pay my rent to a escorl account rather then landlord. Case went on for 4 months landlord caved did new roof. I had a several thousand dollar lawyer bill . Not sure if it would have been cheap to pay for roof. It is very easy to say take them to court, unless you have a lawyer in family court is very expensive.
