Some of y'all remember in the past my eyes have a very rare autoimmune disease called Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis. Now, if I woulda said those 3 words when I was a little kid I'd sure be hoping the soap in the bathroom was Ivory cuz I'd sure get a thorough mouthwashing for saying such unknown vile words.
Wellp, my left eye started hurting the other day, and being the start of a weekend of campers to take care of I held out to today. Went to the VA doc in Ukiah and this time he sent me to a local Opthamologist who told me I have
BLOOPERITITIS
Not kidding. Not as rare nor not usually as bad as PUK, but my poor eyes went from PUK to BLOOPER.
I suppose I might have something misspelled. So now I have some oily goop from a tube to put in my left eye 3 times a day and go see the Opthamologist again in a few days. By the way, my regular VA doc is an ole time surfer who cruises the beach towns on his Harley on weekends. Before he sent me to the Opthamologist he called my left eye GNARLY before stepping out for the next patient. The Physicians Assistant was left looking at my eye trying to look for a Gnarly. I had to 'splain to him, Gnarly's an ole surfer term for a really ripped wave for experts only to attempt, and that it's come to mean things like awesome or epic. Ya see, my left eyeball is all reddened...
...and NO BobM, it is not red from any green leafy substances known to be grown near here. I did not get any good answer for what causes BLOOPERITITIS. I watched a wizard of oz bloopers thing on youtube last week. Can that be it? (The cameraman's shadow shows on the nest of baby munchkins, Judy Garland suddenly switched between practice dance shoes and ruby slippers in one scene.
No, I really have blooperititis. The PUK is still under decent control. Hopefully this blooper thing'll be done in a week.
