Spare the rod spoil the child was the kid raising motto of my time. Belt, wooden spoon, hair brush or shoe , but we wheren't beat usually only 1 good hit and it was over. I would take getting hit any day over the time my mother washed my mouth with soap!!!!!!!!!!!
