OUCH! I had my first knee surgery when I was 15, joint disease, the other knee the next year, between that and horses, motorcycles and working hard I have been gimping around for most of my days. I am living on Aleve along with real aspirin for the bad times and icing it. Seeing a chiropractor has been about all that has kept me on my feet this past month. He has really helped take the pressure off the nerve without being a "bone cruncher".
I like the idea that I am just getting practice in for my later years! :old
You are probably too young for knee replacement. My husband had both knees done at 58, 4 months apart. It has been a miracle. He was able to walk about 15 feet at a time up until them. If it becomes an option for you do not fear it. It is a blessing.

DH has been busy, our back porch sank a good 4 inches when I walked out on it this spring. Stuff fell over. It is still the same size/layout but all new n purdy like! I love having my BBQ where I can get to it year 'round, this has always been a "must have" for me. I really need to update the "porche" pics.

Good for you ... and him!

I've spent weeks in a home with upstair's bedrooms, when I couldn't climb the stairs. An in-tub shower when I couldn't lift my leg high enough to step into it. Doctor appointments when I not only couldn't drive but didn't know if I could get out of the pickup if someone else drove me.

I have sent multiple late birthday cards to someone in the same year. A new year at a new age lasts 365 days ... and, sometimes, 366.
