For 1/2 gallon pots in September at Rural King, I think they were $2.79 each.

Is this kale just for show or can it be eaten? Always wondered. My repellent for deer is freezer camp.

We JUST had a Rural King open up here, in C-U. I went to college in Chaleston, IL, where there was a RK, and I've noticed when I've been down there that they have better prices on plants and a lot of other things than our local Farm and Fleet store. BTW, jeans there are on sale this week for $5.99, lined pigskin gloves this week, $6.99, and flannel-lined jeans for $12.99 (I bought 2 pairs to ride my horses this winter in--SSOOO much cheaper than breeches at the online stores!)

Flowering kale is supposed to be edible. So far i have been feeding chopped up wilted leaves to the ducks
