I will not vote against pears! They are yummy, and the trees produce a LOT. Even the dwarfs are reasonable profuse!
As I can not suggest for your area, we have an Asian Pear and an Anjou. The Asian pear produces 4 pears for us last year, it was just 2 years old. All our fruit trees will be 3 this year.
Wife, you should go ahead an plant a peach, even a dwarf is a good producer and you prune them short and wide to get the best amount of peaches. We used to have 4 dwarf peaches in Connecticut, and even with a yard full of pines, and almost no space... they did great! ...too great, as mom used to say.
