It is a great plant for color in the shady garden. Not a long bloom period, but bright and cheerful for a while.

No, doesn't bloom for more than a few weeks. Mine is happy in the sun, but it gets shade by 2 in the afternoon.

Mine are in almost full shade and bloom well. Perhaps early enough that the leaves are not full grown overhead? Still, yes, it is a treasured plant.

A tiny bird's nest in the blueberries barely two inches across. Carefully lined with hair plucked from my horse's tail.

That was my first thought. I wish I had seen it full of birds. I have never seen one so small.
