sometimes we call it the UFO because we've not seen it in a long time. sun is out this morning and it is cold and frosty. chances of flurries starting Friday night for four days. i'm glad i don't have to go anywhere...

Well this is a happy start to my day-- thank you so much! Many of us will never get the chance to see bamboo in bloom, so it really is a rare and special occasion when you happen across it.

A rare sighting of bamboo in bloom.

You know, I know bamboo is a grass, so I didn't expect flowers, just something like all of the grass heads I've seen in my own pastures (basically the picture). Yet, somehow, I'm still disappointed.
Are they at least also huge or still tiny? Anything for scale?
