The new house has a walnut tree, but I have no idea what kind. I don't have a picture, so I can't post it right now... but if anyone happens to have a photo of their own walnut tree/s can you please post them here? Thanks so much!!! :)

Gee, just because this forum is called the "easy" garden doesn't mean that everyone is rarin' to show their nuts to the first person who asks... :p

Go ahead, censor me, I probably deserve it :p

Pat, getting rather punchy from Too Much Preschooler Exposure lately

Presumably you mean "show me you're nuts", but I would have thought it'd already have been pretty obvious :D

Pat, who along with the hens and 2 of the cats is one of the relatively few critters on the property *without* nuts <g>

I check on this thread ready to see Walnut trees with their beautiful bark and majestic branches and instead I find wise cracks!

Oh I love this place.

Personnally, nuts are highly overrated. It's the backbone that counts!

Here is a pic of a Black Walnut tree:

It's leaves:

It's bark:

Well, hopefully this weekend I can get some nice photos. However, if memory serves me right, the bark looks very similar to that photo. Thanks FK :)

We have/had a few black walnuts - they drive me batty! Gonna be taking down the last one (huge, in the middle of our yard) - wonder how long it will take before the earth is rid of that poison the roots produce so I can plant a coupla fruit trees?
