I love seeing other gardener's ideas for trellises! They've given me my best ideas!
This is what I did last year in my garden. I took 10' electrical conduit (cheap - not the expensive copper stuff) and with a pipe bender bent two 90 degree angles - so each trellis is 3 feet across with 3 1/2 feet legs. Took another 10' conduit and cut it in half = 5 ' and with a 3/4" connector attached the 5" legs to each side of the 3 1/2 feet legs of the trellis.
Then I used plastic veg. netting- 50' for $10 - attached with zip ties.

Trellises "stored" for the winter.

Fabulous! you are giving me more ideas and I just had to come in because it started pouring rain on me!

I was just out transplanting brocolli rabe and decided to turn more compost into some new raised bed I'll have my flowers in.

I decided since we cut a bunch of aluminium fencing to put up the veggie garden fence, I would use the scrap pickets as small trellises for my black eyed susan vine I'll have going in. The pickets are only 4' tall, but the black eyed susan vine only gets about 3 1/2' - 4' anyways.

I'm going to take some left over scraps of wood under the deck that are 6'-7' long and use these for my pole beans and peas by weaving some commercial string into a net. I think I'm going to attach it with industrial zip ties (These things are heavy duty, not like the once you see in the motor department at walmart!).

I really like the pipe idea... but I'm trying to not have to purchase anything this year.

ETA: BTW what did you do or get for your cucumbers? That is exactly what I haven't figured out for mine to keep them off the ground?

Nice ideas! :thumbsup

I used some "bush green bean supports" I bought a couple years ago from Gardener's Supply Company.
They work OK, but my cucumbers out grew the supports and spread everywhere. This next year they are going UP on the trellises!
