for many years we had a macrame green tree with crystals hanging on it in the corner and we left it up all year until Mom decided that she didn't want to dust it so she took it down and divided up the crystals and gave each of us siblings a share. i think i have mine in the box next to the bag of DnD dice.

I'm going to try to find the picture of the tree from the 90's. We had 10 ft ceilings and had to cut probably 3 1/2 ft off the tree and the angel just barely fit.

as a young kid we had an all aluminum sparkly (all silvery and no green at all) kind of christmas tree and underneath it you put a light that had a rotating color disk in it. i remember spending a lot of time under there looking up and watching the changes and the reflections in all the globe decorations.

My childhood Christmas was go to school and come home to see the tree decorated. A few people have said that I was raised by my mom so I learned how to decorate for the holidays. My mom didn't allow anyone to help her decorate the tree. She definitely didn't do anything with the outside of the house but people be people. My brother in laws girlfriend said "well you were raised by your mom so she taught you how to decorate". I tried to explain it to her but she was bent on insisting that the only way I knew how to decorate for Christmas is because my mom taught me how. My brother in laws girlfriend gave me a bunch of Christmas decorations and I decorated my house and after I took them down she insisted that she get the decorations back . I have a brain and I imagine how to decorate for Christmas but she wanted the decorations back.
