It's the heat.

I'm in Houston and we have had 8 straight days above 100. I think that today we are supposed to finally "cool down" to 95. Our temps have been running between 100 to 105 and I have had no significant rain since mid April. I have to water everyday now. I can soak a bed and by the end of the next day its a dustbowl. I'm sure that's what is happening to you. Hardest hit are my squash and cucumbers.

My spring garden has basically never known rain water only city water and while I am mostly happy with the garden, I think it would be doing much better if it had real rain and less heat.

By the way, while Houston is a hot place in the summer, it is extremely unusual for us to have 3-digit temps ever, and especially in June. Maybe a day or two in August every couple of years but usually in low 90's in June and a lot more rain than this.

Duck tea rock. I wish I would figure away to spray the lawn with it.
I just remove the pump hose from the filter and put a longer piece of hose on. Then I put the hose end by the plants.

I am too lazy to haul buckets :p

I use duck poo too, it's awesome! And mine wilt some during the day too. They are much better by night and early morning. Mulch helps a bunch!

My entire garden goes through this every single day. If I don't water within an hour of them wilting, they fall over. I had to tie my squash to a dowel stuck in the ground so that the stem won't brake or injure itself.
