So... in the last couple of weeks I have noticed that a neighborhood cat has been using our raised garden beds as a litter box.
Every time I see the cat out there I let the dogs out in the back yard, and 3 dogs RACING for the fence does a pretty good job of keep them away for a couple of days.

Anybody have any tips for just simply keeping them out of the garden?

Have you tried laying chicken wire on top of, or just under the dirt. They don't like to dig on the metal.

We haven't tried that... but, I'm thinking I might have to!

We gotta do something....

I'm actually having the same problem you're having nachoqtpie!
I have an area of the garden that has wheat growing and theirs a cat that goes into my garden just to poop on my wheat bed.:idunno
Maybe its a cat thing to do that.
I'm not sure what will keep them out maybe put some hot pepper around the planting bed or perhaps a fence.

I hate it when they do that.
We had a cat in the garden spraying my bean plants. :sick
I had just picked beans and was at the sink rinsing them to cook. :barnie
We knew who the cat belonged to so DH took all the "fresh" beans to that neighbor as a "gift". :plbb

This will be my first year with a garden since then. We are putting up a pergola and fencing the whole thing with chicken wire. :throw

Try placing a sprinkler head on a motion activated sensor. There are a few different products like this used for this purpose on the market. One is called Scare Crow.

This might work:-)
