Surprise Melons!!

In the sping my neighbor gave me some irises. I put some compost in the area from my pile of compost. A few weeks later when it warmed up, I noticed a vine growing. I left it alone, thinking it wouldn't really put out anything.

But, this am, I was looking at the vines just for grins and lo and behold there are two melons!! One for sure is a canteloupe, the other looks like a watermelon, but. the leaves on the vine are not typical watermelon leaves.

My red habenero pepper plants are very happy with our 100 degree humid days lately!! Lots of flowers and tiny peppers
