Mom raised me to be independent and i've always known i didn't want children. Mom has grand and great grand children so that is good enough. she doesn't really feel like raising kids any more now that is for sure and i'm quite ok with not having any. this world is full and needs a bit of breathing room.
If I had my time over before having children I would wait until this world had fresher air than it does today, on many levels.

So I would be just like you ;)

This is what becomes of our trails in the winter. Once the snow gets deeper and they keep them groomed regularly we won't be welcome. 😞

Syringa's reading it and is like- Whaaa...? No fat horse trails?

Don't you have those fat tire bikes too?
Well yeah... Syringa is just so much more fun to ride!
Dh has not given up asking me to go with him.
I do go with him occasionally, and I'm always glad I have. But sometimes inertia is so hard to overcome.

Not much snow this year, we were able to get up the trails to our regular viewpoints. I'm happy for that. Still would have liked a "normal" winter though.

We finally got some snow that stuck for awhile. Syringa can't resist a good snow roll in the untracked stuff.

My neighbor called me yesterday evening to let me know a coyote had jumped their dog and left a bite on her rear. We have been letting Wren, our tiny heeler be a house dog most of the winter, but now for sure we'll be very careful of watching when she's out.

Another neighbor saw mountain lion tracks in the snow behind his barn so that may account for some of Syringas hyper watchfulness of the woods across the road. We still have our two crazy barn cats, so maybe that means they're smart. Or maybe they're just lucky.

Haha, Syringa loves a roll in the snow. During our Snowmeggdon, my horses went from the barn to the round bale, water tank and back to the barn. They sure as heck didn’t lay down and roll in that stuff! Maybe next time Syringa can FaceTime mine to give them some pointers.
