The photo very much reminded me of my parents' cat, Cuddles.

Yes, cats will squeeze behind you as you are sitting in a kitchen chair.

The problem with the picture is we don't see how the cat has access. Perhaps, another chair was moved but cats sure do like to rub against people, horses, dogs, whatever warm-blooded critter that may tolerate them.
I miss my old timmy. I keep remembering how his pads would grip onto my finger like he was holding my hand

some friends had a big cat that was very friendly, he loved any kind of attention. if you were laying down he'd come and stand on your chest and look down at you. with how big he was those feet really drilled in when he was standing there. they said he usually weighed between 25-30lbs.

last night i just read an article in Science News (which is probably quoting an article someplace else i can't remember at the moment :) ) where the scientists finally discovered the genetic mutation for ginger colored kitties. they think it happened about 900 years ago.
