Learn something every day -- somedays more than one something. Thank you @secuono. It looks a bit like what we call duckweed. Checking Google. Nope your plant grows in clusters and reproduces through spores. Duckweed grows en mass, but each individual piece is its own plant. The smallest flower-er in the plant world.

Salvania, red root floaters, frogbit and duckweed all grow and spread the same way. Everyone hates duckweed, very tiny, near impossible to get rid of and replicates really quickly. But it can also be used as food.
