They are SOOO FORGIVING of our forgetfulness.
I've gone out there to find the waterer not only dry but turned over.
I've found the feeder EMPTY and the chooks begging at the gate.
I've forgotten to lock them up... the guilt of what COULD'VE happened when I found them already loose at 5AM the next morning!!!
I've forgotten to let them out and stood there holding a flashlight for an hour while they ate and drank their fill...

They just keep on doing what chickens do.
Gotta love them.
