Cheap "rabbit ears" and 25 channels. Pity there isn't something good to watch. PBS is usually a good choice, but I don't usually watch serials. Read most of the books though.

NO WAY!?!?!?

My wife and I started watching the old seasons on Amazon Prime and totally fell in love with it!! What's even more ironic is that 10 minutes ago we got back from watching The Hobbit where these two act together (albeit one is a dragon).

I know!!!!!!!!!!
I totally loved last season!
Take a look at last week's show (I'm sure it's available online somewhere) and let us know what you thought.

..... adding The Hobbit to the Netflix list......

Yeah right!

With the right clothes and if I squint, I could disappear in a room with that wallpaper!

NMG, did the bits about HOW he could've faked his death bother you? To me, they seemed to have been thrown in just to make it longer. They were more like 'commercials' about the show that had been inserted into the show for some reason.
It was VERY late for me to still be up and watching TV so I very well may have missed something - but they never seemed to address any of the mysteries - why/who was behind Watson's was kidnapping, why the bomb was planted, or who was responsible.

I loved the first/second seasons of Sherlock, they were intelligent, predictable but entertaining, and cleverly thought out. I expected a lot from season three and was very disappointed with the premier. :/I thought the hypothetical ways he could have survived were weird and the focus on Watson coming to grips with Sherlock being alive as well as the lack of a thrilling plot line was out of character for the show. :idunno It was O.K but didn't seem season premier quality. But it grew on me as I learned why they did it the way they did. The chopped in hypothetical death faking scenes were actually a way of including Sherlock fans. Shortly after the 2nd season ended the internet was filled with ways Sherlock could have survived, the shows writers took some of their favorites and included them in the movie. The reason they focused on John was because the show is really depicted in Johns eyes and they wanted to keep it that way so that the audience feels that they are included. Something else I thought was cool was Sherlock's parents were played by his (Benedict Cumberland) real parents. Also Watson's fiancee is played by his(Martin freeman) real Wife.
I am definitely still watching the rest of the season, and hoping this next episode is up to par with the other seasons:fl
Btw the next episode is on Sunday Jan 26 at 9:58pm;)

Canesisters, The bomb plot was revealed who/how/why, but the kidnapping was not. I'm guessing it will be this seasons predominant plot. ;)
