New project going on at my elementary skool.....

The silkworm life cycle.

I've got hundreds of little buggers hatched out, feeding on the only thing they can feed on...Mulberry leaves.

These guys are about 1/4 inch in length right now, but will attain three inches in a month or less....

Where do you get the mulberry leaves?
Easy, from my yard!

I have 8 Mulberry Trees I have raised from litttle twigs, and last year they produced the most incredible bounty of delicious fruit!

My daughters and I made Mulberry Jam, ate them fresh off the tree....simply intoxicating!

Can't wait to see how they mature. We just picked one off of my daughter the other day, she was sooooooooooo scared of it. We let it go on a tree banch though :)
