Today in History

Today is Endangered Species Day.

A suggestion of a way to celebrate is to find a suitable sidewalk and use your colored chalk to create an image of a favorite endangered species.

An example: I believe that Sage Grouse in North American are now considered "threatened" with a species in Colorado and Utah seen as endangered with extinction. I wasn't aware of this concern until recently.

The Western Gray Squirrel is on the list of endangered species for the PNW. I will draw this squirrel in chalk on the sidewalk after it's done raining!

Talk like Yoda Day, it is :D.

Your garden, sow you must. All of your plants, care for them you will. The food, the activity, and the beauty, enjoy you shall. Do it, you can. Hmmm, yes. For in the tending, growth you will find. And in the harvest, satisfaction, there is. Mmmm.
