Two years ago I got a transplant sweet pea, from a friend...Lets just say it grew a little! I put it in a small raised garden with lattice for it to climb and it is taking the entire garden over. I love the plant (reminds me of summertime at Grandma's). Do I trim, dig some up and move or just let it take over? Any advice would be appreciated!

Where the heck do you live? Mind die in the hot sun in the summer or freeze in theh freezy winter. I can only grow them in the spring or fall.

Hi lese ! :frow

You don't mention the colour of your sweet pea -- does it look like this one?

If so you may have a problem soon..............................!! If it is the common vetch it can be INVASIVE, however beautiful! :th

I once had it in a garden & I had to get rid of it as it really smothered EVERYTHING. Also it doesn't have a lovely perfume like other species & I really treasure the smell! :D

This last link gives you info on other types. Hope this helps?
