Ground cherries are a night shade. Reminds me of tomatillos. I grew them last year. They have a bit of wang aftertaste. We didn't really like them. Though they were sweet.

a bit of a wang aftertaste...:gig......I agree!

Although.... sometimes I would come across some that were perfectly golden ripe, with no aftertaste...and I thought they kinda tasted like gummi bears! :drool

Another thing I planted last year was Jerusalem Artichokes. I planted them in different areas out in the field behind my house, since I hear they are pretty invasive in the garden. I forgot to harvest them this fall
LOL

I planted some about 5 years ago and I have never harvested them. :gig

They are next to the garage and they work so well at keeping the invasive weeds out of that area, I just let em go. It is nice to know, though, that I have some spare food in easy reach if I need it :D

I got the grapes down pat. Someone traded some seeds with me and slipped in a packet of native tobacco (Nicotiana acuminata). I have no idea what to do with it :p

Wifezilla, I'll HELP YOU!! :hugs
I left my instructions at home, but I'll bring them in next week to share. (We dropped our home Internet, in lieu of faster service at DH's office.)
Here's where I ordered my tobacco, which is a site for rare and hard-to-find seeds, (at least THEY say so!!)

"What Not Seed Company"
THIS is what I bought last November~

Also, tt Ron--remember he grew tobacco last year.
