Thanks guys. I've not seen any gray hairs yet, but DH has a little more than a few. I tell you what...she does not let a little heart defect slow her down, that's for sure!

Journey she's adorable!!!! Just remember as my FIL pointed out. What goes around comes around, and often times in spades. My BIL was a busy kid like your little one. Well, when he had kids he's got 2 that you can't turn your back on or they are gone. His kids were climbing baby gates within what seemed like weeks of learning to crawl. Couple weeks later? Crawling out of the crib. They ended up having them sleep on the crib mattress on the floor so they'd be safe. No joke. We dubbed them "Spider babies" because they could and would climb anything.

Every time we spend time with them, I thank my wife that she was a good kid growing up!

Far as the does goes for peroxide its 1 teaspoon per 5lbs for dogs and cats. If your not sure on the animals weight, guess, and dose away. May take a 2nd or 3rd dose. Give the 1st one time to work though it usually only takes 1 dose. Its most effective up to about 3hrs after ingestion but I've used it past then for things I know will cause a blockage like a baby diaper. The same material that will absorb the urine/stool from a baby will swell like a tick in an animals stomach and cause a blockage.

I've found sometimes it will help to get them moving. Chase a ball, run around the yard, anything to help get it sloshing around often times will speed up the process. Learned that trick at night in the dead of winter snow on the ground and was cold and tired and had a German Shepherd that ate a diaper. Friends dog, same family had a baby came over dinner and was getting ready to leave when we saw the shredded diaper and the dog with bad breath.

Once they are done vomiting then its a little water, and they can eat the following meal. You eat something before breakfast, and get peroxide therapy? Your next meal is dinner. Just to play it safe.

I remember when we carried ipecac on our ambulances. They've gotten away from it because you can't get it to stop. Its an all or nothing kind of medication so its rarely used anymore.

Glad to hear she's doing so good. I remember the posts about the heart defect. She's come roaring back which is great to see.
