BTW, these are springing like CRAZY all over right now!
I went to lunch with some co-workers and saw huge bunches of them. I had to show my buddies how cool they were by taking some dry ones apart...
They think I'm nuts.

OH Spanish Needles!
We were just talking about them last night. They are not nice, they can twist into the fur of an animal and then burrow into thier skin. Our sheep were the worst! We would have to cut the skin on the sheep to get them out.
They are very pretty in the Spring when all the little purple flowers are blooming! Once they dry out they are NOT so pretty.
We use to play withthem too Rob. They are fun to watch spin around

I can't even imagine them in sheep wool... that would be terrible!
