*UPDATE* Mimosa trees

heres a pic i took today of the poor mimosa tree that had busted its delapidated pot and had nearly been scratched out of the side of it by the chickens. i finally had to repot it before it died. i dont know why i didnt think to take an AFTER picture...

You can come to my house and get all you want. They have become predator trees in Alabama totally taking over the forest like Kudzu. They grow quick but you are constantly in battle to keep them out of your flower beds where the seeds blow and they are prolific.

I agree with BamaChicken 100%.

I also live in good ol' Bammy, and I'd almost pay someone to eradicate the things from my property.

They are a tremendous pain if they ever get a hold in a vegetable garden too. (Like they did in mine while I was away for a few months last year)

well when you cut one back they do tend to spring up all over like runners so somebody probably just pulled them up as weeds and sold them to you.. i have lots of pods on the trees now.
