It's actually a bit more ridiculous than that @seedcorn rent for a home like mine would be more like $1400+ per month because its a 3 bedroom, has a really big backyard, and its fully-fenced. $1,100 is for a tiny little 1 bedroom home or even a studio apartment. We did get a really good deal though. We were able to get a USDA loan, and the interest is pretty low.
