I noticed someone had asked to have a link for this subject but I didn't find a thread, so I thought I wold start one.
I have been interested in this topic for years. I see the vendors at the farmer's market with their castings and they sure do look pretty. I used to buy worms as a treat for my chicken and ducks, and at one time had a rather large rabbit area that I used to use for compost (this is far the best stuff I have come across to date!!)
But...I keep finding myself looking back at this option. There is a workshop that the city of Oceanside gives free so I was going to start there and see where it took me, but I also wanted to get the pros and cons of it.
Here are my questions:
What is the best medium to keep them in?
What is the best climate?
Purchased bins or self made?
Should I get more rabbits to use as a medium base?
