WalMart score!!!

It was a great deal .44 per bag. Steve I have not saw the stuff at lowes but I will look into it, we usually empty our pots and containers out in the spring and mix it with some good compost to refill the pots with .that just may be the stuff to use for them. I like finding these deals, it really stretches the dollar out.

I get mine for free. Living on a horse ranch has its advantages. :)
I have horses too. The poop is definately NOT FREE!!!! :lau

#50 pound bag of feed-----$9.95
#1200 pound hay roll------$65.00
#70 pound square bale----$7.00

Total amount of money earned by horses----a BIG FAT ZERO!!

Horses are a hole in my pocket I dump money in. :D

Scooping poop is a desperate attempt to recoup at least a miniscule fraction of the $$$$$$$ spent on 4-hooved professional eaters. I make myself feel better with feverish thoughts of the "organic" vegetables I grow. :tools :lau

Yeah, that may be true, but in my case the horses belong to my landlord, so the manure is free for me. :weee

Old Guy is SMART!

BEN fRANKLIN SAID SOMETHING ABOUT OATS, QUALITY, AND PRICE.

"If you want to buy high quality Oats, you should expect to pay the price for them. However, if you do not mind used Oats, that comes much cheaper."

I tried to get it word for word. But, something like that...

:hide

This is my favorite version of that:

Quality is like buying oats. If you want nice, clean, fresh oats, you must pay a fair price. However, if you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse ... that comes a little cheaper.
Never heard of it being attributed to Franklin, though. :idunno

But than oats that have been through the horse make better compost, huh? ;)
