Woke up to 30 degrees F, dry until 9AM then 12 hours of rain, some very heavy. Today, wind gusts to 40mph, so it will all dry out again.
Typical Illinois winter weather...Season of MUD!!!

in 42 days we'll be back to longer days than today. so while it may be colder the sun starts to be out longer and gradually feels warmer again. the return of spring is then not far behind.

it is a way i get through winter, it used to bother me a lot more before i figured out how to think ahead...

We've had thick fog for days. As I looked out a few days ago there was a think cloud about two miles away that spread all over us. It's cold and grey today but at least that nasty fog has gone.

We;ve had fog too, @Marie2020 Three days of it. Then there is air stagnation, but I'm not sure how much it affects us since its cold out.
