My dog keeps getting covered with little green seeds or burrs that really stick to his fur. The plants they come from are about a foot tall and the seeds are green right now with an oval shape and straight tail about an inch in length. They actually look like a little sperm. They turn brown later on in the fall.

What area do you live in? And can you get some pictures? From what I'm reading they sound like Cleavers to me, but that might change with a little bit of extra information.

I can't see the picture. Maybe take a look around the forum and come back and try to upload the photo when you have at least 10 posts? The posts from this thread will count too. I could imagine that you guys would have Cleavers up there. Oh and something I forgot... :welcome

I will ask another question and then maybe we can get the 10 posts. I have some Asiatic lilies that I need to move and wondered if it is safe to move them now or wait until the spring?

CC :) you need to click the post reply and get 10 posts, not just this topic :)

Once they go dormant and the leaves are dry they should be able to get dug up.

I'm thinking of getting some belladonna lilies and surrounding my garden with them. Supposedly they are poisonous to gophers.
