Wanted to cry like baby. Sweet corn was about 5 days from picking. Went to shut rooster up and what did I see? Animals attacked about 2/3 of crop......can’t poison them as it will get wife’s cats....

Oh no! Gosh darn it! I'm so sorry. Go ahead and cry. I did when the rats did a number on the bark of my fig tree and I thought it wouldn't make it.

What animals attacked it?

Pulled 7 giant hornworms off my tomatoes these past few days...but not before they laid waste to 4 plants and did a lot of damage to a couple of others. It's astounding how much those things can eat in a night's time.

Took great delight in feeding them to my chickens.

Not sure whether coons, skunks or ground hogs. So upset, I didn’t look tonight.
