Celery likes water, other than that it get’s the same treatment as the other residents. These 4 “Clumps” of Celery last us all season eating 3-4 times a week.
This post reminded me of how easy it is to sprout the leftover roots of a bunch of store-bought celery. I placed a celery stump in a dish of water a few days ago, and in a matter of days it grew healthy leaves. That is my kind of house plant. 😍

Give u five! I like using those store-bought veggies for house plant. Besides all kinds of alliums, carrots and parsnips are also cute. Once I made an experiment on carrots, and they did grow into another new carrots (after a long time).

Here are two little guys from the parsnips we got from the 3Euro bags one week ago. But I didn't try celery yet, don't know why, thanks for the reminding.

I grew one variety 'Astra Rose' this year, and they look elegant and fit in the garden well.

I plan to have a sunflower patch next year, and here are the 7 varieties I want. One of them is perennial 'Early Bird', and the others are either Procut (pollenless) or smaller-flower types. The giant sunflowers look also great, but they are not very suitable for my needs.

I have received a lovely gift from DD - Advent calendar with 24 different seeds.

It won't be my choice to buy seeds in this way, but it might be a good idea to create a Advent Seed Patch next year and try to include everything in these 24 packs as a family special.

I really want to get more beans, peas, beets and sweet potatoes in next season. I also would like to have more beneficial flowers like marigold and nasturtium. I tried Detroit Dark Red beets this year and I want to get better results next season.
Talking about beetroots, just found a white variety from the seed catalogue, and it looks attracting to me.

I already have the orange-yellow one and will definitely try both next year.
