I filled up this morning for $2.17/gal. 87 octane unleaded. I've heard rumors that over in Cincinnati, OH (about 40 miles from here) there are some stations selling it at $1.73/gal.

Wow! I know what you mean majorcat, I purchased an oil filter and 5 qt. Mobil 1 oil for our Toyota and it came to $50. That was at a local NAPA hole-in-the-wall shack near here. I sorta wish there was a Wallyworld closer than 27 miles. Oh wait a minute, on second thought I'm glad there is not one any closer.

we've been at $2.36 the past couple days. i'm expecting it to drop a few more cents and i'm hoping that is before Monday and back to work for most of the week.

It was $2.29 and I got a recent fill-up for less than $60! I don't even remember the last time I filled the pickup for less than $80!

Too bad ... or, too good ... I buy gas so seldom this time of year. During the summer months, when the price is always so high, I'm in to fill that dang truck about every 10 days. There are some weeks in the winter when I don't drive it more than 15 or 20 miles.
