When I was a kid craftman where well made tools. If a problem happened you could just return to any sears store. Years ago I started buying Dewalt because professionals seen to always use them. Who do you think makes the best power tools now?

Dewalt comes out slightly behind Milwaukee here. Also there are several Makita tools on the bench. When I asked Leon (DH) he said it depends on what kind of tool - grinder, drill, saw, sander ...

Agree, depends on what u r buying. I am looking for an invertor generator. Thought Honda, easy call. Until I found out they now use a plastic cam shaft and timing belt. Now I have to look and investigate.

Depends on the type of tool. For a sander I think you're fine with Milwaukee, DeWalt or Bosch

all depends on what your sanding, but love both of my deltas, belt sander for rough sanding, orbiting sander for finishing.
90% of my shop is either delta or porter cable.

if its a old chest be careful some of the paint may contain lead, a good respirator and a big fan behind you.
they do make low flume strippers might check them out.
they stop adding lead to paint back in 1978.
