I hope you get a good haul of windows. Just be careful if they are old ones that they are not covered in lead paint.....!!

Got my camera on the charging stand, as we "speak", Hattie. Plan to take some "before" pics, starting soon.
Have got soooooo many ideas, gleaned from the sites that you have provided, that I want to "put them in place", in the 'old bean' and take pictures of the transformation. I do, so hope, that I can get it all done before my wife's condition gets worse and my 'outside time' becomes limited.

Cool vid........brings a LOT of different people together. There's not a whole lot of "gatherings", of such a diverse group of people....where everyone is happy and smiling.
A great, successful project.....in a "concrete jungle".

Unlike the US, it sounds like the councils take land developement very seriously before issuing permits..which is a good thing.
In a city 10 miles from here, developers are building a new shopping mall, when the shopping malls that are already there, are not "full" and are struggling to keep tenants.

I agree that it would make things a little better, concerning the temporary allotments, if there was at least a 5 year "lease".

You know what, Hattie.....The city that's 10 miles from me, Dothan, AL, has been struggling to revitalize the downtown area to bring shoppers back to downtown businesses, which was abandoned many years ago in favor of the outlying malls. Gonna have to ponder the obvious possibilities of a community garden doing just that very thing and approaching the city commission with the idea. They have already started, last year, a farmer's market, during the season, to boost downtown "traffic" and it worked quite well.
Just got back from getting the windows (only 2, right now...with 4 more 'coming out' in about a month) and REALLY lucked out, as the man that gave them to me lives, only, about 4 miles from my house. And they are large, sturdy box-style windows with casings.....so you know I'm excited about the window collecting getting started on such a grand note.

Been a cold, windy, dreary day here....but a good one. My neighbor just brought me 5 more windows from one of his friends...and the REALLY good part....his friend changes out windows for a living and told my neighbor, that in about a month or so, when (and if) the weather gets better, he'll have me a lot more windows for me. NOW, I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. LOL

I cannot imagine.............................................. other than it being part of a desperate bid for attention by the architect.......!!????
