I like the PVC idea. I got flat soaker hoses from Amazon, going to give them a try. I haven't planted seeds yet, but will get that done this week. Your starts are looking good!

Any reason you went for flat soakers bay?
I've used both and most definitely prefer the round ones.
Although if you just have straight runs I can see the flat ones working fine.
They suck at corners and turns though.
Mulching over the top of them can give them more longevity.

WM local had a bunch of clearance garden things on sale last month. I picked up four 25' round soaker hoses, $5/each. I got them for my DD's back yard, you know the one year project that got interrupted? I lent them my two old 25' soaker hoses in not the best shape, and I'll take them back home for better use in my beds. Can't seem to start too early, ya know. :D

The ground is pretty wet, so weeding the garden has been a challenge... We are harvesting asparagus every other day now, radishes too. The seed flats in the greenhouse are doing well & should be ready to transplant in a week or two (weather permitting)... Everything currently in the ground is doing very well due to moderate temperatures & the rain this spring.
