Latitude yep, you hit it. Elevation is 610 feet. Yes it started snowing a 1 this afternoon and kept it up after dark, but has stopped now. Probably 4 or 5 inches of snow. I took pictures around 4:30 this afternoon.

Crazy, that your winter looks the same as mine, so far South. Of course, your snow will be short-lived (if it isn't gone already). At least another couple months of snow & freezing temperatures left here, and a "polar vortex" building which should arrive later this month. "Polar vortex" is apparently the new name for what we used to call "winter". ;)

I know I'm not very nice sometimes but I'll admit to sometimes grinning when I see how shocked and surprised some people that choose to live up north are when they find out it can actually snow in winter up north.

My children fall (or rather, fell) in that category. Although I was born & raised in Wisconsin - and remember some hard winters - my children were born in San Diego, and lived in California until their teens. They had never even seen snow, and we moved here in December... "shocked" is an understatement. I suppose "Mean Dad" baptizing them into Winter (by throwing all of them into snow banks) didn't help.

What is going on in the UK, @Marie2020 ?!

Looks like tough going, south to north. And, I wonder about elsewhere in Europe ...

Ha!

Age ... and, I was up at 3:45, posting that a little more than an hour later (after reading some news from another continent ;)).

Hey. I don't allow myself coffee until I have been up for 4 hours. Well past breakfast and matching the restraint in the evening.
