Crazy, that your winter looks the same as mine, so far South. Of course, your snow will be short-lived (if it isn't gone already). At least another couple months of snow & freezing temperatures left here, and a "polar vortex" building which should arrive later this month. "Polar vortex" is apparently the new name for what we used to call "winter".
My children fall (or rather, fell) in that category. Although I was born & raised in Wisconsin - and remember some hard winters - my children were born in San Diego, and lived in California until their teens. They had never even seen snow, and we moved here in December... "shocked" is an understatement. I suppose "Mean Dad" baptizing them into Winter (by throwing all of them into snow banks) didn't help.
