Supposed to be 92 here today, but we always go over that at our home. Thankfully we are 400 ft elevation and have the ridgeline of Oregon directly west of us to hold back any water!!

Got rain last night. I can tell bc neighbors across the street have their "rain puddle" at the entrance to their driveway.
Could really use more...
DH complained of being cold on the porch, probably bc we have been living in the AC for nearly 3 weeks straight.

We had a good downfall of rain here earlier this afternoon. It was just quietly falling after 11am before trying too imitate a monsoon

By 2pm it was really hot here IMO. Our forecast read in the lower 20's if that was so then I'm a duck.

84F today and increasing through the whole week to Friday +90F - aka hot and dry all week only chance of rain in forecast is for next Sunday (i think they just throw that in there as a consolation prize or bait or hope or something...)...

will have to be out watering this morning before plumbers get here to replace hot water heater that went out Saturday morning.

air quality is bad today here. the sun is up but we can't even see it through the smoke/haze... normally i've not noticed any problems breathing but both of us today are not working outside this morning. Mom notices it even more than i do most of the time and today it feels like i have someone's foot on my chest.

We had some smoke here too. The moon has been orange-red the past couple days with gorgeous sunsets! Luckily we can't smell it as it is up high!

Tonite and tomorrow rain predicted. Hope we get some rain.The pastures are so dry & very dusty with each step sending up a powdery dust so light it flies up from the ground like bees on a pump handle.
