We did have a new record high on Tuesday, it has now cooled and we are now in more normal "Summer" weather. Daily windy conditions...

Smoky here this morning. Fires in Oregon — @Shades-of-Oregon , @Rhodie Ranch ? Very near your neighborhood yesterday, the interstate highway east of Portland was closed. I guess that the fire is under control now.

Yes, near The Dalles. Closed two roads/highways. People and trucks stuck on 84 for 10 hours. Its zero percent contained.

it hasn't really rained enough to keep the grass in full gear, but that is ok with me as then i can squeeze in a few more days between mowing. the temperatures are on the increase now but overnight we're still getting into the low 50sF. daytime temperatures in the mid-70sF and then heading up to the mid-80sF this week. no rain in the forecast until the middle of the week. a few days ago the forecast was for chances of rain for three days in a row. none of that happened (other than us being on the edge of a storm front for most of the day yesterday, it looked dark enough to rain but it didn't get to us). such is things.
