@Marie2020 , at 11PM Pacific Time, it is 7AM in the UK.

London has a day length of 16 hours 38 minutes. You have me beat since you are a couple degrees of latitude further north. We are right on the cusp of 16 hours :D. I have fun thinking how I managed to live where the Summer Solstice is within seconds of 2/3rds of the 24 hour day.

It also sets me up to be uppity about other locations in the USA. The day length in New Orleans is almost 2 full hours short of that right now. San Diego is very close to that. Miami Florida has even less daylight than those 2 locations. (all from information on timeanddate dot com)

Steve :D, whose first early morning household task is normally heating a kettle of H2O

To make a final point of reference, for Americans living east of the Great Lakes, my location is ..

. north of the northern most point in the state of Maine.

I believe, although not certain, my home is north of 50% of Canadian homes. In other words, north of the statistical center of population.

All this doesn't mean too much re weather for the N American continent ;).

i did nap a little bit this morning but not too late as i found out this morning that we were having some friends over for a visit so if i was going to get any weeding done today it had to be as soon as i could get outside. which got me next to the pea shoots for some fresh greens for a snack. got my weeding done with a half hour to spare and so was able to also get the dishes done and cool off.

the 2nd nap happened after 2nd breakfast.

no rains, i'll get out later and water a bit to make sure any sprouts won't dry out overnight. chances of rain tonight and tomorrow, but cannot count on them until they hit the ground.

Fingers 🤞 you get some rain
We've had a new days without and it's showing already. We are supposed to have rain on Saturday. But like your forecast ours is about as reliable as a gardener
