The Pacific Northwest is again expecting another atmospheric rain/wind storm. I just got done cleaning up after the last one, mabe we’ll get some hail or snow. I think some of these storms are pretty close to hurricanes with wind gusts up to 60-70 mph in the coastal areas. So batton down the hatches this is gonna be a whopper.

Glorious weather. Aren't we lucky

every day here on planet erf. :) i love it.

the dreaded four letter word SN*W has started showing up in the forecast. it means that despite chances of rain for today i probably should get out there and get some gardening done while i can, even an hour or two a day will help.

"Snow" has occurred several times in our forecasts, always for the early morning times when a rainshower is moving on. Hasn't happened. The precipitation isn't even piling up snow at the nearest Snotel at elevation 4700 feet.I continue to think that this might be okay because of dry soil conditions. Snow is at higher elevations.

Our dramatic turn has to do with the rain and not so much with temperatures and that began about 1/3rd of the way through October. Rainstorms now seem to have a full lock on the local weather conditions. Storms from the southwest and west carry Pacific moisture and mild temperatures. The humidity and breezes don't help much for maintaining body temperature, however ;).

Indoors, there is a new furnace and new thermostat and I am still wondering about accuracy 🧐. Room temperature and I had on a t-shirt, flannel shirt and a knit vest yesterday and only pulled the vest off while walking my Indoor Mile. I'm just about ready for the hot water bottle or heating pad to warm up the foot of the bed before I climb in there for the night. :D.

i can't bring myself to go out in 40mph winds and oncoming chance of rainfront in a bit. tomorrow is supposed to be much calmer so i will save my energy for that and just putter around inside today.
