Tranny problems seem to be common with Dodges for some reason....
uh oh....I probably just offended all the Dodge lovers... :hide

I have a dodge avenger now. As long as I can get around with little trouble, I don't care what I drive. This avenger, is ok.... I'm not crazy about it though.
It's ok, you did not offend me at all. Before I got the Durango, I had an oldsmobile intrigue and the tranny went out in that too. Let's just say that olds sure was a pain in the rear. We spent more that we should have trying to fix it.

I can't comment on vehicles I have a 2000 VW Jetta wagon with a 4 cylinder no turbo 5 speed manual.

I rarely get stuck because I can usually rock it out. I also know my limitations with it. We get a lot of drifts because we have a lot of farms out here.

I agree ask around who has equipment even if it's someone with a 4 wheeler/ATV with a plow blade. A plate of cookies, a bottle of Crown Royal, etc can do wonders.

It's not a bribe it's a "thank you gift" ;)

I used to have a Hyundai with all wheel drive and I never ran across something it couldn't drive through.
Now, I have an s-10 with no special 'drive' at all.
I've been know to get stuck in my own driveway after a good rain...
