What about selling  them. Set up table in driveway by rode sign  Melons $2 and have a cash box honesty system written on it
			
			Farmer here does it with sweet corn. Charges $2.50/dozen. Lucky if he averages $1/dozen. People destroy a decent amount peeling and tossing back. Plus the thieves....

That's a good way to describe the flavor.the diplomat melon has a wonderful pear taste worthy of a spot in anyone's garden....
 
 bad thing is vacation is over....
 might not have gotten everything i wanted to do get done, but enjoyed this last week.
