Snow fell at 5,000 feet. The late afternoon wind must have blown the snow off the trees. It blew much of the moisture away down here.

At 4am this morning, the overcast was gone. I don't suppose that there was ever fog ... altho the wind has fortunately stopped. At 5:30, I turned some sprinklers on for 30 minutes. Off again, back on later for another 10 minutes.

By 7:30, there was still puddles with these sprinklers. But, this is IT! Any colder, any more freezing hours -- it just becomes impossible. Final fresh harvest is scheduled for this afternoon ...

3:30am: 29°f clear skies since 8pm and a 30° drop in temperature, so far.

It's still 3 hours and 30 minutes from the coldest part of the day.

Drying out but now it is COLD. Low Mid 30's when I got up. Only to be about low 40's and a frost warning for tonight. UGH. Windy too, gusts up to 30 MPH. Leaves had only begun to change are being whipped from the trees. We may not see much Fall. :(

I think you were right Steve. You've seen your final fresh harvest, at least from outside a greenhouse.
