It has begun. I planted broccoli, purple cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, cabbage and kale.

The garden tub is gardening.

There are 65 peat pellets per flat. Some of it is old seed, what the heck, it might grow. If not, I have plenty more. I AM A SEED HOARDER!

That's a lot of kale! Do you eat it every day?
I have never grown it. Haven't really eaten much and I planted the Lacinato kale, which makes a real big plant. I guess if we like it, I'll blanch and put some in the freezer. If we don't like it, we have SHEEP! ;) Maybe the horses will like it too. :idunno I really don't know why I started so darn many seeds of kale! :gigI guess because I am a seed hoarder and have crap loads of seed packets. :\

@baymule Bob planted some BIG kale. We did not like nearly as well as the smaller curly variety. So if you do not like this kale , try another.

I'm kinda looking at the kale as feeding livestock. I know the chickens will love it, they love greens. Maybe the sheep and horses will like it as a treat too. I'll try it, heck I might like it. @henless how do you make kale chips? DH and I are on this low carb diet and NO CHIPS. Got any other weird chip recipes?

We make kale chips by rinsing kale, Dry it between towels, tear into pieces. Then toss with a bit of Olive oil to coat. Spread on cookie sheet. Srinkle with your choice of seasonings. Sea salt, garlic powder/salt, parmesan etc.... Dry in LOW oven (or in dehydrator) until dry and crisp. NOT browned.
