I don't see that working out with no drain holes. Does it have a plug and drain? I have a 300 gallon tank that does. If so, take out the drain plug and tilt the tank so that water would run out the drain easily. The metal would be another factor, heating up in the sun.
No drain hold unfortunately, I may just flip the stock tank upside down and use it as a table for a few of my potato grow bags

I've been here so long, I don't know if I even know how anymore. OK, I just did it. Click on your name on the right in the green bar at the top. A menu will drop down. Click on Account Details. Scroll down to Location, type in your general location (no address please LOL) and click on Save. Done!

I would just add drain holes to it if it weren't for the simple fact that the stock tank doubles as my chick brooder so I don't want to ruin it haha. As for the heat, I am not too worried about it, as it doesn't get too hot here, so it may actually be beneficial haha.

But this is not Texas and our nights cool to the 50's.

Only down to the 50's? You must not be at that high an elevation Thistle. We used to camp in Hog Park Wyoming, just across the Colorado line, at elevation 8400 feet in August. There would be ice in the water bucket in the morning. You didn't get out of your sleeping bag until 7:00 and the second thing you did was get the fire going. Yet by 9:00 or 9:30 you'd probably be OK in a long sleeved shirt, light jacket at the most. Then a mile and a half hike into fun trout fishing. They were small, 11" was a good fish, but it was so isolated they were wild enough even a rookie fly fisher like me could catch some. And the kids even caught a few. Of course, most of my time was spent retying flies for the boys.

Zone 5 covers a lot of ground. Zone 5 in far west is different than in Indiana. Might help if you put a general area like NE IN.

In the introductory post they are in the NW. That doesn't give elevation or if they are on the wet or dry side. I understand not giving up too much personal information on the internet and don't fault anyone for that. I try not to myself. But, yeah, a general location could give more detail. But that is up to Mnmnikki.

No, we aren't that high, 2480+-. Last summer (?) 40's was more the norm.
That fishing trip sounds wonderful, I bet it was gorgeous. ❤

Mom and dad went to Yellowstone for their honeymoon in July and got snowed in.
