i don't know what you all had, without a blood sample and a genetic sequence it could have been something completely different than the flu or another corona virus. do you know how many millions of viruses there are? i don't, but it's quite a big number. luckily most of them are not harmful to humans. same for bacteria and fungi.

my views are not an insular opinion, but *shrug* whatever... i'll trust what scientists say who study these things for a living over isolated reports of what people think they had.

and no, it's not BS.

this is an older article which gives the basics that were known back then:

this report came later but i've not seen any reliable followups on this:

this article contains the same information as above, but gives more details on the genetic tracing done:

as of yet i've seen nothing credible which changes my mind about how this has come about.

note you can find a lot of news reports which repeat the same false and unverified claims of other studies which have since then been questioned because their testing and methods were not very sound, but people still take these news reports as gospel and keep repeating them as facts.

Let me tell you a secret: Everyone has been exposed, ether late last year or early this year in February ~ we got it (wedding party) someone was here from London I think she brought it, she had been to India and Italy but showed not one sign ~ and another from Brisbane, Oz she showed no sign here or after returning to Oz , no, didn't go the doctor to have them tell us ~ I see some people who think the same and others who are being so careful, frightened of everything and everyone, not realizing that when they were feeling lousy at Christmas it was their turn ~ this is a pain in the bum, when do you think we can stop pretending '''

The numbers have been inflated ~ people counted several times ~ I really feel sorry for those who have lost their jobs ~ some may lose their homes ~ well their houses anyway ~ hope all of you are in good stead ```

Let's look at some things:

TwinCities said that she lost both her grandmother and father after they had been diagnosed with Covid-19. TwinCities was fairly new to TEG, she said that she won't be back to this forum anytime in the near future, maybe next year.

Bee' is usually posting several times a month. Her last comments were about Covid-19. That was nearly a month ago, in July.

Seed' is usually posting several times a day. He started this thread. Checking, Seed' hasn't been on TEG in over 2 weeks. His last post had to do with Covid-19.

I know this is off topic and a little bit of praise but I really like the way you investigate and openly talk things through. Its comforting and a huge relief to be on this site. Thank you Steve and
@baymule I can foresee us having a few friendly fall outs but I like you even if we get a little cross wired. ;)

Thanks to all that have excepted me here. Lockdown and all this crap that comes with it is a little easier thanks to you all.

Time to hide, I've really embarrassed myself now :hide

@digitS' what comes reeling back to me is the people that haven't been tested receiving positive results. I think most of us have excepted this virus is real but what's the upping the actual figures all about.

Another thing, of course I'm in no way a medical professional but I'm starting to think it's both a virus and a flu, that's just judging from my own experience.

It's sad I haven't chatted with bee for a while now. I think this subject really dragged her down :(. Where are you @Beekissed

I have decided I know nothing about COVID other than I do not want it. I don't think anybody else really knows. I do not like the fear talk, but I also do not like all the well they were over 70 or 80 when they died, like that's no big deal. To me that's a big deal, but I have no idea what the answer is. I know flu season is coming and my brother's job is getting really slow, and his boss had a meeting about what to do when flu season starts. I guess panic from not knowing if the person sneezing and coughing has the flu, COVID, or allergies. I am not sure what decisions they made. I will ask DB tonight.
