yeah, TroyBilt and CC are manufactured in the same factory as I understand it.
Probably a smart decision to keep one, drop the other. Their problem is which is the more brand valuable. At one time, I’d say Troybilt in tillers but IMO, they sacrificed short gains vs long gains by cheapening up Troybilt tillers.

That's obviously a huge red flag regarding support for any questions, problems or replacement parts (hopefully that wouldn't ever be an issue)
This is not a good sign, I hope ours does not fall apart anytime soon. It runs rally good so I don’t see me having problems with it until it gets more hours on it. I think that we use ours a lot, but it is only about 10hrs per year I would guess.

So I'm actually thinking about getting the DR PRO XLDRT. Seems like it'll get the job done. the Troy and Earthquake both have people complaining about having to take out an put back a pin on the wheel to change it to freewheel and back, which seems weird, and the DR has a lever for that. Otherwise is seems comparable. Price is a little questionable, but maybe much like Gravely they just aren't as widely known and therefore don't pull the same price as others even if they are the same or better quality. Anyways, that seems to be where I'm leaning

Yeah the wheel pins are next level cheap (and greasy)...
Why do so many tillers have that damn mechanism then? It's not like it's something I'm going to rarely use. I would assume anytime I'm taking it in or out of a shed/garage I would be using that, so it just feels like something I'd get highly irritated at fairly easily.

I wish I had about $1k more to spend on a BCS

Heh. It's from the opening sequence of Animal House. It's the quote from the founder of Faber College

Maybe that classic quote is becoming less commonly known :). I'm old :(
