Just realized I haven’t updated since July. It’s been crazy busy around here though especially with dad catching Covid back in August. Things are starting to settle down again though. The main garden died back in August from a combination of neglect and the various fungal diaseases that always seem to hit in August. The potted tomatoes and peas closer to the house are producing though and so are the luffa! The have produced like crazy. 6 hills with 1-2 plants each easily covered 100ft of chain link fence. Never watered or fertilized. I’ve picked about 2 dozen so far with about 140 or so still on the plant.

Looks like a nice crop of sponges, @Artichoke Lover . Have you ever eaten the young gourds as a vegetable?
I've tried the angled luffa here, but it didn't grow well enough to get fruit before frost.
